Dear Subscriber,
March 10th marks the 51st anniversary of the Lhasa Uprising in Tibet. Throughout their years of struggle, the Tibetans have continued to hold out hope for a peaceful resolution in their quest for freedom, in spite of the great difficulties they have faced.
Tibetans throughout the world also express deep gratitude for the support and encouragement they receive from you, and supporters across the globe, who help to keep their Tibetan cultural and spiritual heritage alive.
Locally, we are honoring this occasion by offering a prayer vigil and reading the Dalai Lama's statement; others light candles, display the Tibetan flag, recite mantras, hold discussion groups or other activities.
Please mark the day in an appropriate way, to remember the thousands of Tibetans who have lost their lives, and the many thousands who were driven into exile.
